Bob Horn, Tim Aylward and Jim Bandy began their legal careers more than thirty years ago as associates in the Litigation Department of Blackwell Sanders Matheny Weary & Lombardi, one of the large preeminent law firms in Kansas City, Missouri. During their years at Blackwell Sanders, the three became close personal friends as well as law partners.
In early 1999, the three friends decided to fulfill a dream they had shared by establishing their own law firm. Horn Aylward & Bandy, LLC became a reality in April 1999. The firm started with the three named partners, two associates, one paralegal and two long-time secretaries.
Over the following two years, Roger Slead, Diana Jordison and BK Christopher, three former partners at Blackwell Sanders, joined HAB to expand the firm’s litigation practice. In 2007, Danne Webb joined HAB as the leader of the firm’s construction litigation practice group. The firm currently has twenty-one attorneys who practice in the areas of business, professional liability, class action and construction litigation.
